We are delighted to announce that Dataracks have been short-listed for a FSB 2018 Business Award in the East of England Ethical/Green award category for our strong commitment to minimising resource consumption at our factory, and for using only re-cycled, recyclable or biodegradable materials in our products.
The area final will be held at Lynford Hall Hotel in Thetford, Norfolk on 1 March which we very much look forward to attending. If successful Dataracks will progress to the National Awards ceremony to be held in London on 3 May.
This is a real accolade for the company as we pride ourselves on our environmental programme – quite a coup for a company that basically works in steel, glass and plastics. You can read all about our green credentials here.
Our green initiatives are not just environmentally positive but we think there is a serious business benefit too. The company is a supplier to some of the world’s largest brands – a major broadcaster, a number of significant mobile network operators, probably the world’s largest online retailer as well as some of the world’s most important Data Centre operators. Upon receiving news of the short-listing, our Managing Director Jeremy Hartley said ‘Increasingly companies of this scale have serious environmental ambitions themselves and prefer to deal with suppliers who can demonstrate credible achievements in reducing their carbon-footprints. This is becoming a key differentiator in a highly competitive marketplace and I am so proud Dataracks have achieved a leadership position on environmental issues. We are naturally delighted to receive this Green Award short-listing for our initiatives’.
Well done to everyone in Dataracks!
